Goldie's Self Portraits
You haven't seen her in awhile, but here she is! Goldie has discovered that she likes to take pictures of herself. So much so, that when I went to use my camera, it flashed MEMORY CARD FULL!! When I looked through the pictures to delete some and decide which to download to the computer, it was full of Goldie and cats! Aside from herself, she likes to take pictures of Ike and Tina, our brother and sister cats. Ike made his way into one of the pictures. I'll admit they're cute, but you'd think they were actually doing something for her to have taken so many pictures. She even took pictures of herself while pretending to sleep because she wanted to see what she looks like. Finally, I had to delete them down to about 50. These are some of my favorites. I'd like her to show a little teeth! In most of these pictures, she looks like the Cheshire Cat.
By the way, Goldie just celebrated 4 years in locks. She loves them, but mostly likes to freestyle. She almost never lets me even give her a braid out. Lucky she has locks because she can just wash and go!

Omg. What a pretty daughter you have. And, she knows it (-: Her locks are are very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Goldie is so cute!!
And, what's wrong with a camera-card full of self portraits??
goldie's locks are beautiful!!! as is she!
lol!!! Your daughter and her locks are gorgeous! Given how self-esteem issues plague some of our younger ones (and older ones, quite frankly) I'm SO HAPPY it doesn't appear to be an issue! How old is she?
Awwwww...my camera is full of RANDOM shots of me. you would think I have no friends. lol. I save my pics for me...I remember what they look like. :)
She's so cute!
Ms. Goldie's locks are beautiful! Like someone else said, at least you don't have to worry about her having self esteem issues :-)
Very nice :)
Very nice. Those are some lovely self portraits. She has skills.
Oh, Bren! Goldie and her locks are soooo beautiful! And to have them all one length. How fortunate she is. Do you retighten her hair or does she?
Aya - Thanks - I take all the credit! You know, she reminds me a little of your daughter. Such pretty girls.
Brunsli - Thanks. When you have yours, you'll have to buy stock in a memory card company!
Muse, Womaninprocess, Chosen Vessel and QuietSpirit - Thanks so much!
Sunsail - Yes, she's developing some healthy self esteem - she thinks she's all that! She'll be 13 (the dreaded teens!) next month.
Cluizel - I like your new pic of you and NP.
Blaqkofi - Thanks. Come to think of it, they are pretty even - but it's just by chance. I retighten her myself although maybe when she's about 15 I'll start introducing her to the process. I'd love to go back to doing only my own.
Your daughter's lock looks gorgeous!
Beautiful!
Did you start Goldie's locks?
She is just too cute and I can tell she enjoys her locks. I can vibe her on the styling. I bet she's at that age where styles on her are too kiddie or too grown. With freestyle, you can't go wrong.
And speaking of styling...I'm still waiting on my updo pics???
How about that missy?
Girl she is too darn cute, definitley has that "I know a secret" look that translates to a bit of mystery when she become older (lol).
Her locks are phenomenal and you do a great job maintaining them. Didn't you start then with braids? If so she is a poster child for beautiful braidlocks.
Sistalocd and Mel - You all are the best!
Goodnapps - Girl, only you would remember that I was supposed to be trying out some up-do's! The most she let's me do is two french braids on either side.
Tra - Thanks! I started her with two strand twists, although if I'd known about the braidlocz book before I started, I would have gone with braids. I didn't find the latching book until about 5 months after I had started, but by then, girfriend's hair had already started locking!
cute, very Cute!!!!!!!
Peace
Brenda, it's about time you posted some more pics on your hair, and on your infamous "scalpiness," which I don't believe for a minute. You know how we like giving our opinions. Can we make your imaginary "thinning hair" the topic of conversation?? :)

She and her locks are very beautiful. My daughter just began her Sisterlock journey on May 26, 2007. She is 11 years old.
